Who are we?
Ummid Foundation Trust is a secular, charitable, and non-profit organisation registered under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, in 2022 at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The Trust was established by its Settlor and Managing Trustee, Shri Mahendra Kumar Singh, with the objective of working for the welfare, upliftment, and empowerment of all sections of society across India.
Founded on the belief that every individual, regardless of caste, creed, gender, ability, or economic background, deserves equal opportunities, the Trust works in diverse fields including education, healthcare, livelihood promotion, social justice, environmental protection, cultural development, legal aid, and humanitarian assistance.

To build an inclusive, empowered, and equitable society where every individual, regardless of caste, creed, gender, ability, or economic status has access to quality education, healthcare, livelihood opportunities, and social justice, thereby enabling holistic human development and sustainable progress.

To empower underprivileged and marginalized communities by providing access to quality education, healthcare, vocational training, and legal support; to promote human rights, environmental sustainability, and cultural values; and to implement inclusive development programs in partnership with government, national and international agencies ensuring transparency, accountability, and social impact in all our actions.
Core Objectives
- Social Welfare & Empowerment – Work for the upliftment of poor, underprivileged, marginalized, and vulnerable groups, including women, children, elderly, differently-abled persons, and economically weaker communities in rural and urban areas.
- Shelter & Care Services – Establish and operate shelters, rehabilitation centres, and homes for orphans, widows, destitute persons, the homeless, elderly, differently-abled, and victims of abuse or social injustice.
- Healthcare & Public Health – Provide free or subsidized medical care, set up hospitals, health centres, and nursing schools, and organize health awareness, preventive care, family planning, maternal and child health programs.
- Legal Aid & Human Rights – Offer free legal aid and counselling to victims of social injustice, run awareness campaigns on legal rights, and promote human rights education, especially for women and children.
- Education & Skill Development – Establish and manage schools, colleges, technical and vocational institutes; promote inclusive and quality education, digital literacy, and scholarships for disadvantaged students.
- Livelihood Promotion – Conduct skill training, vocational programs, entrepreneurship development, and micro-enterprise support for unemployed youth, women, and marginalized communities.
- Disaster Relief & Humanitarian Aid – Provide emergency relief, rescue, and rehabilitation during natural disasters, pandemics, and other crises.
- Environmental Protection – Undertake initiatives for tree plantation, pollution control, conservation of natural resources, and environmental awareness.
- Cultural & Social Harmony – Promote national integration, social reform, ethical values, and cultural development through community events and public awareness programs.
- Institutional Governance & Compliance – Maintain transparency, statutory compliance, ethical governance, and collaborate with government schemes, national and international agencies for community benefit.
